Week of August 8, 2021

1) Climate Change: Tomorrow, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change will issue the first part of its 6th major assessment report, the most comprehensive synthesis of what we know about the evidence of climate change, its causes, its impacts, and what we can do about it. Climate scientists on Twitter are hinting that the report will be quite dire, but that there are solutions that are attainable. You can read more here: https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2021/08/06/climate-news-un-ipcc/. Look for the reporting tomorrow, and then contact our three Members of Congress about doing more to combat climate change and create more resilient communities that can adapt to the changes that cannot be prevented.

2) Indivisible Truth Brigade: Did you know that Indivisible has had a Truth Brigade for the last year? Its members and Truth Brigade-curious (in other words, everyone!) are welcome to join their next meeting, Wednesday, August 11, at 4:30 pm, to celebrate the achievements of this team over the past year, to learn about ongoing work to diffuse deadly and damaging disinformation, and to have a great time in community with like-minded activists. Register here: https://indivisible.zoom.us/meeting/register/tJArdu-vrz8rH93lduLYHXOvC0ISDDLRfy5L. Bring a few friends and shift the national narrative. And if you’re not yet part of the Truth Brigade, you can sign up here: https://act.indivisible.org/signup/indivisible-truth-brigade.

3) Indivisible Working Groups: Did you know that Indivisible also has working groups? You can attend upcoming meetings for the following groups:
