Week of November 15, 2020

1) Help Cure Ballots: The Malinowski campaign is working to cure Vote-By-Mail ballots that have fixable issues. They are looking for volunteers at 10 am and 1 pm tomorrow (Monday) and Tuesday for in-person canvassing. Sign up here: https://www.mobilize.us/malinowskiforcongress/event/363521/. Thank you in advance to all of you who are working to ensure that every vote counts!

2) Hunterdon Strong: For those of us who live in Hunterdon County, there’s a fundraiser to support Hunterdon nonprofits on Thursday, 11/19, starting at 6 pm. Tune in here: https://hunterdonstrong.org. And donate to support our community!

3) Presidential Transition: Call our two Senators to ask that they use the full force of their office to ensure that the Biden administration has access to the information and resources they need ASAP for a smooth transition, especially given the worsening pandemic and economic outlook. Let them know that we expect leadership!

4)Read the Indivisible priorities for the rest of 2020: This year is not over and Trump is not yet out of office. Indivisible has 5 priorities for the rest of the year, from supporting the Democratic candidates for the Georgia Senate seats to gearing up for the fight to secure a more robust COVID response. Read the details here: https://indivisible.org/resource/showing-2020-door. In anticipation of the new Congress being seated in January, also read up about two House rules that Indivisible recommends changing: https://indivisible.org/resource/house-representatives-rules-need-changing. We’ve learned a lot about politics in the last four years, and here’s another area for us to educate ourselves and work for change!

Quote of the week: “Leadership, at its core, in my view, is about being personal.” – Joe Biden
