Week of September 22, 2019

1) Impeachment: Last week, it was revealed that President Trump asked Ukraine to find dirt on Joe Biden and his family, at the same time the US was withholding aid to the country. President Trump has admitted he did this. Call all three of our Members of Congress to let them know that this corruption is unacceptable and must lead to impeachment. 2) Wall Funding: Meanwhile, President Trump has raided military funds to pay for his wall, and now he and Mitch McConnell want Congress to restore the military funding through new appropriations. Call all three Members of Congress to ask that they hold the line: no funding for the wall, not even indirectly. 3) IGSV Monthly Walk/Run: Thanks to everyone who showed up yesterday for our first ever IGSV walk/run at the Columbia Trail. It was a beautiful day and great conversation. I plan to have these every third Saturday of the month, 8 am, at the High Bridge trailhead parking lot. Our next one will be October 19. You can RSVP by email to indivisiblegsv@gmail.com.

4) Canvass: We need to turn out people to support our state and local candidates this year. Keep your eyes peeled for canvassing opportunities posted to the Facebook page during the next few weeks. It’s crunch time!

Quote of the week: “All Democratic leadership sees are the potential costs of action. They ignore the costs of inaction, which are rising every day.” – Leah Greenberg, co-founder of Indivisible, Tweeting about impeachment.
